Heather Dunaway Smith is an interdisciplinary artist and storyteller known for her interactive experiences and XR artworks. After studying playwriting in NYC, Heather found a love for computers and transitioned into a role at Apple, where she discovered interactive storytelling, which led her to get a degree Interactive Multimedia. Her career has spanned a diverse range of projects, from award-winning XR experiences, games, and apps to virtual worlds and museum installations.
She is a former Adobe AR art resident and was part of the first cohort of creators to build mixed reality experiences for Snap's AR glasses and Meta's Quest headsets. Her work has been exhibited globally, including events such as Art Basel/Miami ArtWeek and Adobe Max, where she was a featured speaker and curated the 2022 AR Art Gallery.
